I think we all understand and agree that the file contents did not
change, hence SHOULD NOT HAVE the current year in it.
Though, the file has been CREATED yesterday when I updated the ESS
package from ELPA:

Hence, "officially" (IIUC), it SHOULD HAVE yesterday's year.

I guess the above is (part of) the problem.
Anyway, I don't want this to be top-priority. I just was mentioning it,
because I get this interruption every time I update the ESS package,
never with the others. But I can live with it.
