[ESS] Remote processes: interrupt R calculations

I'm using M-x shell, and then ssh. Aquamacs Emacs, based on the  
latest CVS Emacs 22.

Because of the other issue with Emacs being blocked while waiting for  
the R process to finish (whether remote or not), and because working  
remotely didn't work because of the above issue, I had to switch back  
to running RAqua - this can take copy&paste of huge code-blocks with  
no problem, and without blocking my editor. Happy to try out things  
in ESS to fix those bugs, because I'd like to be able to use it again.
