[ESS] Moving between ESS[S]mode to LaTeX[M] modes causes Xemacs 21.5 to crash

Dear ESSers

I have just installed XemTeX on my PC.

When moving from S code (ESS[S] mode) to latex code (LaTeX/M mode)
Xemacs closes down.

ESS[S] mode:
Major mode for editing ESS source.
LaTeX/M mode:
Major mode in AUCTeX CVS-5.482 for editing LaTeX files.

OS version:

Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]
OS: Windows_NT

XEmacs 21.5 "chestnut" (+CVS-20050202) configured for `i586-pc-win32'.

I was wondering if anyone else who had tried this version of Xemacs had 
had a similar experience.

I have sent a bug report to xemacs.org
