[ESS] (no subject)

Hi all,

I'm using ESS 5.2.5 on XEmacs 21.4.13 "Rational Fortran" on WinXPPro.  When
trying to `clean up' an R transcript file, either with M-x
ess-transcript-clean-region or from the ESS-trans menu, I get the following
message in the mini-buffer:

Symbol's function definition is void: deactivate-mark

Can anyone help?  TIA!
