[ESS] ESS-Version under Xemacs

What do you mean far behind. I just had to install Emacs under Windows 
XP and the Emacs version is 21.3.1 and since Ess is installed manually I 
have the newest version of that.

If you are only using (X)Emacs for editing R files, I doubt you will 
find any difference between the two, so pick the one you find easiest to 
maintain.
