Splus 6

The way to use Splus6 with Windows is to start S-Plus 6 with the icon and
then connect to it with M-x S+6-existing.  The M-x S+6 command doesn't work
correctly.  I consider this to be a bug in the S-Plus 6 implementation
and reported it to Insightful at least six months ago.

You did not specify which version of ESS you are using.  The current
version is 5.1.19.  Earlier versions may not work correctly with S+6

S-Plus 6 with Unix has a different interface.  This response does not
address Unix.  If you have a Unix machine, then confirm that you are using
ess-5.1.19.  If you have the current ESS and are still having difficulty
then send your message again with the machine type and the versions of
ESS, emacs, and S-Plus that you are using.
