Following the series of messages on R-help on or about 04 Mar 2001 by
Renaud Lancelot and others on installing emacs, ess, and R. I followed his
instructions. emacs seems to work fine but I can't get ess to work. I have
R located in c:\rw1022 and I changed line 144 of ess-site.el to read

(setq-default inferior-R-program-name "C:/rw1022/bin/Rterm.exe"); msdos
systems

When I type AltX R I am rewarded with

Click mouse-2 on the completion to select it. etc.

What am I doing wrong.

Thank you very much,

Peter B.
