Interruption of a running job

On a Unix machine with Emacs, ESS and S-PLUS 5.1, I can interrupt
a running S-PLUS job by pressing C-c C-c. However, on Win98 with
NTEmacs, ESS and S-PLUS 2000, this key-binding causes termination
of the current S-PLUS session. I wonder how I can interrupt a
running job, but keep the S-PLUS session running?
I start S-PLUS in NTEmacs by M-x Sqpe+4. Thanks for any help.
Paul.
