Fontifying *R*...(regexps.............)

Thank you very much to Peter Malewski and Kjetil Kjernsmo for their responses.
Sometimes a faster solution seems to be to type (after C-c
C-c) C-g as soon as the "fontifying" message shows up. Messages are below.

I have successfully hit M-x font-lock-mode a few times when this has
happened to me on emacs-19.34, thereby disabling fontifying in the iESS
buffer. I don't know if this will work in your case, and you might have to
be fast, but it might be worth a shot.

Does a "C-g" helps? It stops (Gnu) emacs... and then delete the output
"C-c C-o" ??
