ESS on win-32, c:/ .emacs error

Please give the exact form. load-file IS NOT a variable, suggesting
that you've got a spare "(" somewhere...

Do you need to do:
(load-file "c:\emacs\ess-5.1.18\lisp\ess-site.el")
?

No. R can be anywhere.
