[R-SIG-Finance] IB API error

Howdy-

Relative newbie here. I have the latest IB version (I use the JNLP
version to access IB)...

When I do the following:
twsConnect(clientId=1, host='hostxxx', port=7496, verbose=TRUE)

I accept the incoming connection attempt dialog and immediately
afterwards, R throws this error:

Error in structure(list(s, clientId = clientId, port = port,
server.version = SERVER_VERSION,  : 
  object "SERVER_VERSION" not found


Any ideas as to why this is happening?

I've tried opentick (active account) to no avail (but that's for a
different topic).

Here's the IB version info:

Build: 889.2

Java version: 1.6.0_07


Any help would be most appreciated.
