[R] Current status of Sweave PNG functionality

Hi,

I was looking for a way to make Sweave output not only EPS and PDF,  
but also PNG. Searching through the R mailing list archives, I found  
the following post from Thibaut Jombard:

I'm currently using Thibaut's version of the Sweave package to produce  
my PNGs (thanks Thibaut!), and I must say I find this feature so nice  
and so useful!

That's why I'd like to know if this functionality is planned to be  
integrated into the original Sweave package in a next release?

I know I can use ImageMagick to convert my EPS files to PNGs, but I  
find this much more comfortable.
