Although it may not be nice to pick up dusty threads, I have to comment on
this:
Using Mumits latest gcc-2.95 (mingw32, vanilla R0.64.2), the mclust package
builds and works (well, there are some problems with the examples) out of
the box. The reason for this remains unknown.
