[ESS] Emacs 28.1 Released

Hi All,

Some are likely already aware that Emacs 28.1 was released yesterday:

I have downloaded the macOS universal binary from:

  https://emacsformacosx.com

So far, I have not noted materially different behavior from Emacs 27.2, but have not engaged in extensive testing yet.

My use cases are likely different than others, so I will be interested to see any issues that may arise from the new release.
