[ESS] \delta for julia?

I'm reporting that I couldn't get it to work based on the instructions, and hoping for help.  Thanks for the help; it works now.

Should unicode-math-input be able to do super or subscripts?   _ and ^ aren't doing anything special, though \beta and \sqrt do.

Come to think of it, I was also wondering why what I did didn't work.  I thought package-install-file was supposed to install packages.  Maybe your code is not in the form of a package?

I am not sure what the purpose of your e-mail is. Are you asking for
help? For my trival package, I would use

(add-to-list 'load-path "~/path/where/you/cloned")
(require 'unicode-math-input)
