Hi Rodney,

I upgraded to ESS 13.09-1 and (just in case) also set the locale to en_US.ISO8859-1 explicitly before starting R.
But still the same problem.

Oh well, I actually speak German. Maybe ESS is trying to tell me something and I should just accept it.
