I think M-RET was my old cold, inspired from the same keybinding in
*shell*
(defvar shell-mode-map
...
(define-key map (kbd "M-RET") 'shell-resync-dirs)
I don't use it much though, so if its a big pain, I won't object to its
global unbinding.
