[ESS] best way to clean up iESS buffer?

Hi again,

which could be the best way to clean up the iESS buffer but without
deleting the command you have entered? So far I see, in the so called
transcript mode the is the possibility to mark a region and C-c C-w and
this achieves exactly what I want.

But, this does not work in the iESS buffer. Is there any possibility
apart from C-c C-o and M-h C-w?
