Hi all,
I am getting the same problem, and as well the GUI buttons do not
appear. I'm running Debian unstable with ESS 5.12-1, R 2.12.0, and GNU
Emacs 23.2.1. I downgraded back to ESS 5.11-1 and that fixed the problem.
