[ESS] ESC-Function in R - Where is it in ESS?

Hey,

the problem is, that the loop does call an external wine programm 
(WinBUGS). When it is open, the buffer of Emacs is read only.

R-Version: 2.9.0
Emacs: 22.2.1
ESS 5.3.11
