[ESS] .r buffer unavailable while R is computing

Dear Emacs-ESS users,

When evaluating long parts of code (i.e. long loops) in the R buffer,
the ".r" buffer is unavailable for editing.

How can I change that and continue editing the .r file while computation
is being processed in the R buffer ?
