[ESS] Syntax highlighting with R

Thanks, I have obviously misunderstood the manual

I think my first line sets the global-font-lock-mode to on, but with
.R files the only syntax highlighting I get is a blue-green assign
symbol. Completed commands are in bold but that seems to be it,
Should I expect more than this.
