Hi Marc:

That does appear to be a similar bug report, but there is no "solution" 
posted.  Not much of a starting point I'm afraid.  However, your report
sounds eerily similar to a bug that was fixed in 5.2.9.  So, I'd 
encourage you to upgrade.  Although, while you are at it, you mind as 
well upgrade to the latest, 5.3.3.  And, your version of xemacs is 
pretty stale as well.  Do yourself a favor, check out 21.4.20.
