[ESS] How to install ssh.el?

Hi

I know that this is not a pure ESS question - but ssh.el is mentioned in 
the ESS manual and I would like to use it to connect to a remote R 
session, I am asking here:

How can I install ssh.el? I downloaded it and I guess I have to save it 
in one of the Emacs directories - but which one? And do I have to change 
some ini files?
