[ESS] Changing Soutput fontsize

I would like to reduce the Soutput font size throughout my document 
(without changing verbatim generally).

I am thinking perhaps changing something in the Sweave.sty file

\DefineVerbatimEnvironment{Soutput}{Verbatim}{}

may be where but several guesses/attempts and checking other source 
files hasn't been successful.
