[R] Configuring ESS for SAS on Win NT & Win 2000

Anyway, it's not clear that SAS batch mode isn't sufficient.  It's
probably the only way that I've really used it (other than test
cases), and job submission is pretty much the equivalent to S/R-mode's
buffer-evaluation command.

Could you describe a real workflow/use-case where "interactive SAS"
(truly interactive) is a win?  

I'd think that it would suffice, for the most case, to evaluate
buffers  (or even suitably wrapped regions, which the old "Tom Cook
SAS mode" had), via batch job submission, and then being able to
proceed to the appropriate LST/LOG buffer?
