Using R under Emacs

Does that mean that the comand -> (load
"C:/ess-5.1.19/lisp/ess-site.el")
in the file  -> C:\emacs-20.7\lisp\default.el    does not work?

Should I create the file -> .emacs and put the comand there instead of
to -> default.el? Or this would not be the problem?

doesn't seem to be a command.  That suggests that ess-site.el is not
being loaded.  Could you manually load that file, i.e. using

        M-x load-file
