Hi All:

I sent the message below on 10/2 and have not heard from anybody except
Rich, who most kindly answered my question about Sqpe and Splus in windoz.

I am still interested in how one could invoke S+6 with the '-j' argument in
ess 5.1.19 and emacs 20.2.3 running under solaris 5.7. Any help appreciated.

Subject: ESS 5.1.19 and S+6 on Solaris - invocation with arguments

Hi All:

Thanks for all the hard work on this. I have been able to follow the install
instructions for ess 5.1.19 with emacs 20.2.3 and can successfully run Splus
3.4 (S+3), but am having trouble with (S+6). It loads , but dumps at the
point where I call for a java.graph in my .First file. I assume this is
because I should be invoking S+6 with an argument of '-j'. I confess that I
have not been able to follow the directions in the installation instructions
with respect to setting 'inferior-Splus-args' . Where would be place to do
this. Any examples of invoking S+6 with arguments appreciated.

While I am at it, let me ask what must seem a very naïve question. What is
difference between an Spqe file and the Splus.exe file in windoze?

Cheers - Shawn Boles
