Run both S-PLUS 2000 for Windows and S-PLUS 5 for Linuxin NTEmacs.

Rich,

But I don't want to run S-PLUS 5 under Windows. My S-PLUS 5 is
running under a Linux system. Currently if I want to use S-PLUS 5
with ESS, I have to run another emacs from the linux machine and
from there type M-x S+5 (of course to do this, I have to run an
X server on my PC first, etc). Now I just want to have two buffers
in my NTEmacs: one for S-PLUS 2000 and one for S-PLUS 5 running
on the linux machine, just save another Emacs window. If I don't
use graphics from S-PLUS 5, I guess it may be possible through a
setup using rsh or something similar in my NTEmacs and ESS.
I like to know whether anybody has done this successfully.

Thanks for the quick response.

Paul.
