Help! I have installed Emacs (v.20.7) and ESS (v. 5.1.18) on a Windows 98
machine. I see from the installation instructions that I need to add a
line to the .emacs file. No .emacs file was included with the Emacs
installation. I looked at www.dotemacs.de to see if I could find an .emacs
file, but to my dismay it looks like I need to learn Lisp in order to write
my own or adapt someone else's .emacs. And all I wanted was a nice
interface with R! Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
