object name completion

Is this problem specific to NTEmacs? When I switched to XEmacs 21.4.3 and
ESS-5.1.19, I was pleasantly surprised that the object name completion with
R is very fast (maybe 2 sec. the first time, instantaneous subsequently).

This is a known bug. There isn't any solution other than to change
OSs at this time. Hopefully soon, someone will track down the
problem.
