Starting S+ from within Emacs

Hello,

I am running Emacs under Windows NT4.0 and using Splus 200 release 2. I have
been using Emacs for several years but am not an advance user, just using the
basics, lately I started to customize Emacs a little bit. I installed the
gnuclientw suite and am pretty happy with it. As I am a statistician and am
using S+ very extensively and SAS a little bit I thought that running them under
Emacs would be great. Hence I have installed ESS (5.1.15) under my Emacs root
directory. I tried to follow the instructions but I don't have luck in getting
S+ to run under Emacs, the ESS buffer starts OK, no errors in the message file
until I try to start S+ by "M-S+4" then I get the following:

Cannot read history file y:/donnees/splus2000/users/jeg002/_Data/.S+4history

in the Message buffer and

C:/Program: not found

in the ESS buffer. I also get complaints from not finding the info directory?

Can you help,

Thanks,

Gérald Jean
